Chefs love it: cresses. Small sprouts with an intense flavour. A special addition in the kitchen. Many think it can only be used to garnish a dish. However, nothing is further from the truth, these cresses can be used in many ways. In order to show this, Koppert Cress organizes the 'Cressperience'. One of their chefs will show you the possibilities of these flavour bombs. We recently had the opportunity to try this Cressperience ourselves!
Taste, discover and experiment
During the Cressperience chef Eric Miete went to work with the assortment of unique cresses that we sell at BE Fresh. The chef let us taste the various cresses, including their own vanilla. It is without doubt extraordinary how their cresses taste! Also different possibilities with the cresses were demonstrated. You can easily use cresses to give salt or vinegar a specific taste.
The products can also be used much wider than just for garnishing. Salads, sauces, ice cream, flavour substitutes, they are all possible options with the cresses that you would not immediately think of. That is the strength of this concept. It gives you instant inspiration to get started and try out all sorts of dishes!
Everyone can experience the Cressperience
The interesting thing about this concept is that this experiece is possible for everyone to do, even if you are far away from The Netherlands. It's easy to follow the Cressperience by webcam. A number of colleagues also joined us online. The cresses used were delivered in advance so our colleagues had everything they needed. You don't have to visit Koppert Cress. This also makes it possible for customers abroad! The Cressperience can also be entirely focussed to a specific part of the assortment.
