Cresses
Flavoursome, fragrant and full of vitamins
Even though they are harvested early while still tiny young plants, cresses are full of flavour and vitamin A, vitamin C and folic acid. They should not be confused with sprouting vegetables. Cresses grow on a solid substrate and are harvested by cutting. There are as many as 30 different types, each with their own taste – from mild to strong. They are great for adding flavour to all kinds of dishes.
